Following the devastation of Tropical Cyclone Freddy which is ravaging most parts of the southern region of Malawi, The Malawi Mission in Pretoria is appealing for emergency humanitarian assistance. for the affected areas from well-wishers. The Mission is also coordinating all relief items destined for the affected areas. Currently, the most urgent needs are:
Shelter: Provision of temporary shelter (tents), and blankets. Protection: clothes, lighting lamps, dignity kits
Health: Mosquito nets and mobile clinic services
Food Security: maize flour, corn/soya blend, beans, and peas, cooking oil, soya pieces, sugar and salt.
Wash: Water treatment chemicals, soap, and buckets
Utensils: Plates, cups, and pots
